Almost all cruising boats now have radar on board. The International Regulations for the Prevention of Collisions at Sea broadly state that if you have a radar you must know how to use it. Over a day of training, we can teach you how to adjust the controls, interpret the picture and make use of the set for navigation and for collision avoidance. The course can be delivered to you in our classroom using our Radar simulators or can be on board your boat. In summary, the RYA Radar Course will give you a good understanding of how the radar works and how to use it. The Radar course is a one day course and includes Radar plotting sheets and the RYAs Radar course questions and answers book.
All RYA courses are supplied by the RYA Registered Training Centre “Wavelength Powerboats” at our address in Ballyhalbert, Northern Ireland or through the RYA Interactive training site.
